Ali DAMICHE aka ALI D, algerian rapper born in may 21st 2003 in Fermatou, Setif.

Musical Career[]

ALI D began his artistic career in music in 2014. He formed a musical group called "CRS Complot" with his cousin and friend. They used to perform a variety of free works on Facebook. He stated that those works were not professional due to his young age and lack of ability to create professional works. After that, he disappeared from the music scene for a long time, only to return in 2021 with professional works. He announced on Instagram that 2021 marked the beginning of his official career in rap music.

On January 1, 2021, he released the song "Guérilla" in collaboration with his rapper friend Hamza Le H. The song gained attention for its lyrics, harmony, and Ali D's professional singing despite his young age. He followed it up with the song "Setifien Mn L'bendo," which dominated streaming platforms for two months. In this song, he expressed his pride as a son of the historic city of Setif.

Shortly after, he released the song "Flingue," which did not receive much popularity due to its violent nature. It portrayed the criminal activities he witnessed in his neighborhood since a young age. Then, a month later, he released the song "Trapstars" with his American friend Justo Davis from Chicago. Ali topped the playlists on streaming platforms, leading to him being honored by the Algerian Minister of Culture for his work. The minister described him as the best rapper from Setif, and he was awarded the title of the Artist of the State of Setif. His picture was displayed at the entrance of the governor's office.

After that, he disappeared from the music scene for a long time, deleting all his social media accounts. He returned unexpectedly with the music video "Zlatan," proving to his fans that his absence was for the purpose of preparing for a significant work to establish his position in the Algerian rap scene. After a while, Ali released a small EP to promote his album, which was released shortly after under the name "V'ALI D." The album showcased unique styles never seen before in Algerian rap. It featured various singers and artists from different genres, not limited to rap, and included artists from different nationalities, including French and American musicians.

Private Life[]

Since a young age, he has been incredibly successful in his studies, with his teachers and classmates describing him as a genius due to his exceptional intelligence. After graduating from high school, he pursued his studies at Ferhat Abbas University in Setif, specializing in Mechanical Engineering. His success was not limited to academics alone; he was also a skilled photographer, working in renowned studios in his city. Additionally, he excelled in sports and became a professional judo athlete, even winning the national championship. He now holds a professional coach certificate in judo.

However, he chose the field of music to add his touch to it. Despite facing ridicule and harassment from older musicians due to jealousy over his quick success, he remained determined to work even harder in this field.

ALI D's International Works[]

Ali's work was highly professional compared to any Algerian rap artist, regardless of their popularity. He released several works in collaboration with foreign artists who are well-known in their countries. For the first time, Ali appeared in a foreign collaboration with DjKevin and the singer Xida in a song titled "Low," which had explicit sexual content. He also had another song called "Trapstars" featuring the renowned American rapper Justo Davis, where they talked about wealth, the lives of artists, and their big dreams of achieving success.

It didn't take long for Ali to release "Trapstars 2," but this time he expanded the project. He didn't just collaborate with Justo Davis; he also worked with JahNeverHadATool, the American rapper from Chicago, Kelam L'Demi, the French rapper from Bordeaux, and L'MOON, the Algerian rapper from Setif. They also discussed the luxurious lifestyle and their disdain for their detractors in the music industry.
