"Always" is a ballad song by American recording R&B band Atlantic Starr. The track was the second single from the group's seventh album All in the Name of Love. The single peeked at number one on both the Hot Black singles and Billboard Hot 100 charts in June 1987. The song also topped the Canadian RPM 100 national singles chart, where it remained for two weeks. In 1987, Kenny Loggins covered a song, a duet with Deniece Williams, and appeared on the soundtrack album to the film Dirty Dancing. It was released on Loggins' 1988 album Back to Avalon. It reached and peeked the number one chart on the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart and Billboard Adult Contemporary singles chart in 1988. It earned two Grammy Awards for R&B Song of the Year in 1989.
