(a/k/a Upson Downs, Wonderfully Simple... ...Simply Wonderful, The Bootleg Album)

Review[]

As you've probably guessed, this is a bootleg album, recorded after Chuck Carroll left the band, but before Kurt Bloch joined. It's really rare (seeing as it was a self-released LP only deal), but being, well, the Bootleg Album, it's relatively easy to find as a bootleg. Some of the tracks have shown up elsewhere, some on Somos Los Mejores, some on Gleich Jetzt, and some on various singles and whatnot. Most of the songs are exclusive to this release, though. It's all right—it's a Young Fresh Fellows album, so it's good on that level, but it's a bit more of a Fans-Only release (though not as much as, say, GAG FAh). If you happen to see a copy of this in a record store, GET IT, but mainly because it's really rare and hard to come by. It's a fun one, though. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
