"Bicycle Race " is a song by the British band Queen and written by singer Freddie Mercury. It was released as a single in 1978 and stood on the album Jazz.

Bicycle Race has been released as A double A-side along with "Fat Bottomed Girls". In the text of the song is the text line "Fat bottomed girls, they'll be riding today, so look out for those beauties, oh yeah , a clear reference to the other A-side. The text is In "Fat Bottomed Girls" Get on your bikes and ride which be referred back to Committee.

The video clip shows a bicycle competition with 65 naked models. The clip was initially not broadcast because of the images of the models. The clip was adjusted so that nudity was no longer directly.

For the guitar solo in the song is a solo bicycle call 's.

Trivia[Edit][]

  • The bikes from the video clip were leased from Halfords. When they were brought back, Queen had to pay for all the seats as Halfords knew where they were used for.
  • During a performance in Madison Square Garden posted some women topless around on a bicycle on stage.
  • In the text are many references made to all kinds of issues from the 1970s, including JawsStar WarsSupermanWatergate scandal and Viet Nam.
