Brian Hyland (New York, 12 november 1943) is an American musician. Hyland scored in the 60s of the 20th century international hits including Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini and Sealed with a Kiss. After Hylands status as teen idol was less in his later career he took more material on with influences from country music. [1]

Biography[Edit][]
As a child studied guitar and clarinet Hyland and he sang in a churchchoir. [1] at the age of 14 was Hyland co-founded the music group The Delfis. They recorded a demoon but knew not signed to a record label to enforce. Hyland came under contract as a solo artist to Kapp Records and took at this label his debut single, Rosemary, 1959on end.
Hyland scored In August 1960 at the age of 16, his first and only number one hit in the United States, Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. This novelty took out in addition the eighth position in the UK Singles Chart and was sold a million times within two months.
When then the label ABC Records brought Hyland singles Let me belong to You and I'll never stop wanting You out.
Hyland scored his second top 10 hit in the United States with Sealed with a Kiss in 1962. The song reached the United Kingdom in both the United States as the third position in the national chart. Years later, in 1975, the song was re-released in the United Kingdom and took out the seventh position. With Ginny come lately scored Hyland in 1962 also a hit (number 21 in the United States and number five in the United Kingdom).
Hyland appeared In the United States in shows such as American Bandstand and The Jackie Gleason Show. From 1963 to 1969 , Hyland scored several small hits in the United States which The joker went wild highest scored with a twentieth position in the American charts. At the beginning of the 1970s knew Hyland a top 10 listing reached by Gypsy Woman, a song written by Curtis Mayfield that reached in the United States in the long run to the third position.
