Bright Eyes "is a song by Mike Batt.
However, it is better known by the release number by Art Garfunkel. He performed the song for the film Watership Down and this was partly because of a big hit in the 1970s. It was the best-selling single of 1979 in Netherlands.
Mike Batt wrote the song at first about his father, who died of cancer. Also in the United Kingdom , the song was a big hit, sold 1 million copies of the single were. This was the best selling single that year in that country.
