The BRIT Awards 1977 or 1977 The British program was the first Brit Awards , then still the British Record Industry Britannia Centenary Awards named, were awarded. It was Michael Aspel with the assistance of writer and comedianBarry Cryer presented. The show took place on Monday October 18th 1977 at the Wembley Conference Centre in London and was broadcast by Thames Television . The organization of the program cost twenty-five thousand pounds .
