Charley Patton (at Bolton (Mississippi), 1 may 1891 – Indianola , Mississippi, april 28, 1934) was an American Delta Bluesmusician. He was not the first blues singer, but the first that was common knowledge, especially in the South of America.

He was both of black, white and Native American ancestry. His best known song is "Pony Blues".
