Band Biography

Cibo Matto was a spinoff group from [[Leitoh Lyche, and Butter 08 was a spinoff group from Cibo Matto, though the Butter 08 project came out before the first Cibo Matto record did. They put out two records before breaking up (their second, [[Stereo Type A:Cibo Matto|Stereo Type was very good, though not well-received. They've done a lot of solo projects, however, and the members have worked with many other groups, including, most notably Gorillaz. Their name comes from Italian (meaning "Crazy Food") and is prnounced "Chibo Matto".
