David Anthony Burke (born March 28, 2005), known professionally as d4vd (pronounced David), is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known for his songs "Romantic Homicide" and "Here With Me", both of which experienced international chart success.

18 year old singer and songwriter, David Burke (born. March 28th, 2005) better known by his stage name d4vd, is known to be the most versatile up-and-coming artists of 2022 hailing from Queens, New York.
Despite recording his most viral songs on just his iPhone, he’s taken over the internet with his gratifying voice, somber lyrics, and vintage production that was poised to blow up.
d4vd began releasing music on streaming platforms in November, 2021. In the early stages of David’s music career, he would release rap and indie songs along with a drill mixtape named “The Hoodstar Diary.”
d4vd often experiments with his sound, making songs with genres like Indie, RnB, Hip-Hop, and Rock.
In July 2022, he received tons of recognition after releasing his most popular tracks, “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me”
A month after his rapid rise to fame, his hit single “Romantic Homicide” debuted at #77 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the chart week ending of September 17, 2022. It’s known to be d4vd’s first entry on the chart.

Born David Anthony Burke in Queens, New York City, he would later move to Houston, Texas.
Career[]
Burke's career in music started when he made montage videos of the video game Fortnite and decided to make his own music in order to prevent himself from receiving copyright strikes. Burke has been a long-standing member of the esports organization Team Limit.
Influences[]
In interview with YouTuber Takashii from Japan while Burke was in Japan for Fuji Rock, he stated that anime is "one of [his] biggest influences", specifically citing the "high energy" shonen genre, including Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and My Hero Academia, with it's "fluid, fast past movement", considering the fighting "poetic".
"Romantic Homicide" and "Here with Me"[]
In July 2022, he released the single "Romantic Homicide". "Romantic Homicide" charted at No. 3 on the Hot Alternative Songs charts.
Burke's second hit single "Here with Me" was released in September 2022, and a music video was released in November 2022. "Here with Me" charted at No. 4 on the Hot Alternative Songs charts and No. 7 on Singaporean charts.
The usage of his songs on TikTok would help boost his career and the popularity of his songs. "Romantic Homicide" is RIAA certified Gold, ARIA certified platinum, and MC certified platinum, and "Here with Me" is ARIA certified gold and MC certified platinum.
