Dave Matthews Band (DMB) is an American rock band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1991. Known for their eclectic sound, which blends rock, jazz, funk, and folk elements, the band has garnered a massive global following. The group was founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, drummer Carter Beauford, and saxophonist LeRoi Moore. Violinist Boyd Tinsley joined shortly after. Since Moore's passing in 2008, Grammy-winning saxophonist Jeff Coffin has been a permanent member of the band.

DMB is celebrated for their improvisational live performances, engaging lighting displays, and consistent chart-topping releases. They are the first band to debut seven consecutive studio albums at number one on the Billboard 200.
