Edward Christopher Sheeran (Halifax, 17 February 1991) is a British singer-songwriter. He signed a contract in 2011 at Asylum/Atlantic Records. Sheeran broke through in June 2011 with his debut single, The A Team that came in on the third position in the UK Singles Chart. [1]

Youth Years[][]

Sheeran is a son of Irish[2and British[3parents. During his youth he moved to Framlingham (Suffolk), where he learned to play guitar at a young age. He began writing songs during his school time to the Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham. [4]

Music Career[][]

2005-2011: rise to fame[Edit][]

Sheeran began in 2005, which led to the release of his first ep, The Orange Room EP. Sheeran also brought two studio albums, an eponym (Ed Sheeran) in 2006 and Want Some? in 2007. He moved to London in 2008 for small gigs. In 2008 he auditioned for the television series Britannia High, by Independent Television. [5]

In 2009, Sheeran 312 times on: he said he had an interview with James Morrison, an English singer-songwriter, had read, in which Morrison explained that he had done some two hundred performances in that year. Sheeran was aimed to Morrison to surpass in optredensaantal, in which he was successful. [6just before Sheeran went on tour with Just Jack You Need Me-he spent the EP.

In February 2010 a video on the website of Sheeran placed SB.TV. The British rapper Example pecked the movie on Sheeran, and asked to go on tour with him. In February 2010 he released another ep, Loose Change, where also its subsequent debut single The A Team is on. The music video that was made for the song only cost 20 pounds.

In april 2010 he left its management bureau and he bought a ticket to Los Angeles, where he attended several open micnights. During a performance in The Foxxhole, a club which is owned by Jamie Foxx , he was noticed by Foxx, who invited him into his home, where he took up several numbers. Obtained In the course of 2010 thanks to more and more fame, Sheeran an ever-growing group of fans who followed him through his YouTube channel. Also his entry in The Independent earned him fame on. recognition of his talent by football captain Rio Ferdinand and superstar Elton John gave the decisive blow to fame. [7]

Mainstream Career[][]

On January 8, 2011 brought Sheeran his last ep in-house, Nooberanen Project, on which a number of grime artists have worked, including Wiley, JME and Devlin[8] With this ep obtained Sheeran the second position in the iTunescharts, without any form of promotion or without a contract with a record label. The ep was sold in his first 7000 times week. [8within a week after the release, he signed a contract with Asylum Records.

On april 26, during the television program Sheeran performed on Later ... with Jools Holland, where he sang his first single The A Team . Six weeks later, the song was released as music download in Great Britain.The song serves as the main single for debut album Sheerans + (plus) – an album that was released by Atlantic Records on september 12, 2011. The A Team sold 58 thousand times in its first week, making him the third position of the UK Singles Chart took over.

During the Glastonbury Festival 2011 Sheeran announced that You Need Me, I Don't Need You the second single would be, and would be released on August 28, 2011. In the music video for the third single, Lego House, Rupert Grint lookalike plays the lead role. He also has the number I See Fire written for The Hobbit , which is released in 2013.
