Edgar Holland Winter (Beaumont (Texas), december 28, 1946) is an American singer and multi-instrumentalist. He plays the saxophone and various keyboards. He achieved his first success as a musician in the 1960s, when he was his older brother, Johnny Winter, accompanied. They performed together at the Woodstock festival.The Edgar Winter Group founded Edgar Winter on and scored in 1973 an American number one hit with the instrumental rock song "Frankenstein".
