Etno Engjujt are a Kosovan hip hop duo from Prishtina, Kosovo. It consist of Groph Monte and Mc`M.
Background[]
Etno Engjujt was founded in 1995 when Kosovo was part of Serbia. Their lyrics was mostly about their lives in Prishtina and the situation of the Kosovo Albanians. Due to the fact that hip hop music was almost unknown in Kosovo, the group had no huge success.
After the Kosovo war their lyrics were changed to storytelling about young Kosovans and themes like party, women and other stuff but kept their old lyrical scheme about the situation in Kosovo.
In 2005 they released their fourth album Vitamin E which included the track Albanian that became very popular in Kosovo and Albania. The music video became much airplay on Albanian Tv stations. The song is a poetic interpretation about Albanian / Kosovan patriotism.
