Folklore, stylized in all lowercase, is the eighth studio album by American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift. It was a surprise album, released on July 24, 2020 by Republic Records, approximately eleven months after her previous album, Lover. A deluxe edition of this album was released on August 18, 2020, with one bonus track, "The Lakes".
