Forever Young is a song recorded by Alphaville for their debut studio album, Forever Young, which was released on September 20, 1984. The single was a strong hit in Scandinavia and in the European German-speaking countries in the same year.
The single achieved more success in the United States than in the United Kingdom, but it failed to reach the American top 40 despite three separate US single releases. Though not the group's highest-charting European hit, "Forever Young" became one of the band's signature songs and has subsequently been covered by numerous artists.

Editing and video[]
Originally released by Alphaville as a single in 1984, "Forever Young" was available in both its original mix and a dance version titled "Special Dance Mix". Over the years, the band has released several remixes and demos of the song.
The single debuted at number 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 in United States and in the top 40 on the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Singles.[1]
Music video for this song shot in early August 1984. The video shows the band playing in one of the halls of the Holloway Sanatorium in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. Various people, from children to old men, dressed in rags, wake up to watch the band and then pass through a glowing diamond-shaped portal, supposedly to Paradise
