"Future Love" was also recorded by American pop singer Kristinia DeBarge for her debut studio album Exposed. It appears as the second track on the album. It was released as the third single from the album on November 2 in the UK and November 10 in the US. The released version of the song differs greatly from the album version. The single version is more uptempo and dance, but it also features a rap from rapper Pitbull. Initially "Future Love", was going to be sent to US radio with "Sabotage", as a double a-side release on July 21, 2009. "Future Love" was going to be sent to pop radio and "Sabotage" to US Rhythmic/Urban crossover stations. Despite the plan, "Future Love" was dropped from the "Sabotage" single release.
"Future Love" was unsuccessful commercially, becoming her second consecutive single to miss out on the Hot 100 singles chart in the US. It was, however, slightly successful on the Hot 100 Airplay chart, where it debuted and peaked at number 100. The single also charted at number 25 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 singles chart, making it equivalent to number 125 on the Hot 100.[3] Due to the songs commercial performance, the single never received a music video.
