Genesis Geronimo is a Filipino-American musician, DJ, remixer, record producer, composer, songwriter, streamer, gamer, autism self-advocate, and mental health advocate.
Personal life[]
Genesis was born on December 25, 1997 in Manila, Philippines, but unfortunately was diagnosed with autism for delayed disability behavior on that time. In 2004, when he was at the age of 6 or 7 years old, Genesis have inspired by music by listening to disco music.
July 4, 2016 marked his final moments in Manila as Genesis moved to the United States. Genesis went to Ninoy Aquino International Airport and never sleep in 16 hours while inside the airplane. Genesis has looked at the fireworks inspiration before landing the airplane at San Francisco International Airport in San Francisco, California.
Genesis grew up in the United States and become an American citizen.
Career[]
In 2011, Genesis listened to several EDM icons such as Avicii, David Guetta, Daft Punk and Pierce Fulton until was discovered making music in 2012. As a producer, Genesis have been producing music with various genres.
But in 2012, Genesis began producing electronic music.
On August 31, 2019, Genesis announced that he will take a break from music to focus on his studies. But he marked his return to music during holiday seasons.
On March 18, 2020, Genesis is planning to make a debut album to be announced possibly in April 2020, and has scheduled for release in likely September or December later that year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the debut album was postponed to 2021. Genesis signed a contract with Bandmate Distro a 2-year contract until his finished contract in December 2022. Later that year, he signed a contract with Warner Music Philippines, a sub-label from Downorth Musique. However, Genesis has temporarily been rejected from 2021 until 2022 while currently Bandmate Distro. Despite the album being released, it has been available on major streaming platforms, although it is known that his debut album will be titled Senpai is available on August 25th, 2023 on Apple Music, Spotify, etc.
On July 19th, 2022. Genesis has announced possibly to stop his career after releasing his debut album in 2023 during his problem with his mental health but He'll be back until further notice.
On July 1, 2024, Genesis is now officially back in his music career but he needs to focus on his mental health while making music.
