Guided by Voices, often called GBV, is an American indie rock band formed in 1983 by Robert Pollard. The band underwent multiple lineup changes, but always maintained the presence of the frontman Pollard. The band initially broke up in 2004 after releasing over 30 albums. But in 2010, they reunited for the Matador Records' 21st anniversary part, subsequently touring and releasing numerous albums. The group disbanded again in 2014, but Pollard again rebooted the band with a new lineup in 2016.
