Career[]

He then later moved to another platform called Funimate in the same year where he gained a following over his time on the platform, he then later blew up and became verified in 2020 on the app.

2019-2022: Zedned[]

Jake and his fellow friend and bandmate Molly started writing songs in 2019. In 2021, the two of them started making album covers for a joke and kept using the band name Zedned, that’s when they both decided to start making a comedy band out of the name. They first debuted onto Soundcloud in late 2021 with their single "Fuck It, I Love You", but it wasn’t until April 8, 2022, where they actually debuted to major platforms with their debut single "Sex/Monopoly", which is included on their fourth studio album Street Days.

During the releases of the albums, it appeared that Jake revealed his sexuality through lyrics. He kept referring the person he sung about with the “he” pronoun. He fully confirmed his sexuality being gay on the announcement of the duo’s seventh album Sounds Gay I’m In.

On the December 10, 2022, he announced that Zedned will no longer be making music for a while after the release of their fourteenth studio album The Vault, released on December 16, 2022.

2023-present: Solo career[]

On January 21, 2023 Jake announced the title and artwork of his debut album titled Waste of Spunk (stylized in all lowercase). The album was available to pre-order on January 19, 2023. The project consists of eight tracks, and it will be released Feburary 3, 2023.

After as of 2023, Jake returns with the Zedned name plus his own solo career. It was confirmed that Molly will not return to the duo until further notice. On February 1, Jake announced on Instagram that he will be releasing the alias' fifteenth studio album titled Sex Symbols on February 18. He also revealed the album artwork which consists of a rainbow background along with a symbol with various symbols surrounding it. The album recieved negative feedback from a reviewer on the site Album of The Year, the reviewer stated, “Get a vocal coach and grow the fuck up my ears don't deserve this – I hate that I have to actually do a full review of this because I hated this so much. Obviously I'm not privy to the Zedned lore and don't know these random ass people that they mention in the lyrics but that wouldn't make me care about this shitshow of an album. Some of the things they say are valid but its sooooo obnoxious and condescending that it makes me want to punch something”, the album was rated 2/100, becoming one of the worst rated albums of the year. It wasn’t until August 2023 that the eighth track of the album titled, C*** would debut at number 6 on the Comedic iTunes Chart in the United Kingdom.

March 24, 2023, Jake released a double-single titled Kms / Worth It, the release being the lead singles off their fifteenth studio album which is infact their self-titled album. The album Zedned was more postively reviewed by the same reviewer on Album of The Year. “The lyrics on this thing are still about relationships but mainly heartbreak. There's a lot of self loathing seen throughout the lyrics and mention of suicide which are quite strange as the tone of the last album was super self assured and narcissistic about their past relationships but are now very sentimental”, they rated it a 28/100.

The duo unexpectedly and suddenly split up on May 8th 2023. They’re releases are dissapearing from platforms and the duo aren’t really updating any media outlets.

On July 6, 2023, Zedned’s catalog was re-uploded in seperate bits, this also came along with an announcement of a new single titled Smile :), released July 14, 2023. Zedned released their seventeeth studio album. Zedned Back From The Dead on July 21, 2023, the album consists of hatrid, heartbreak and longing for a love you wish you could have. The album tracks all simultaneously charted at the same time on Apple Music in the Philippines, peaking at number 175 and then taking up the eight spots below. The album has been positively reviewed on Album of the Year, and also been scored a 58/100.

ZEDNED released the single "Sticky Situation" on August 4, 2023 and then followed up with "Liar, Pt. 3" and "Kiss Ur Lips" all of these being lead singles off of their eighteenth studio album "Bittersweet" released October 13, 2023. The album's songs "Virtual World" and "Dream Boy" both debuted at numbers 90 and 91 on the New Zealand's Apple Music charts.

Throughout the rest of 2023, Jake released two new albums U Suck! and 2023. He later removed the album 2023 from all stores without any reasoning, the album was seen as controversial as the lyrics contained derogatory slurs.

January 19, 2024 Jake released a cover of Watch by Maisie Peters without announcement. He then later released another single titled Feminiomenon on February 2, 2024, the two songs are linked to an upcoming album from Jake releasing in the coming weeks.
