Joseph "Joe" Satriani (born July 15, 1956), is an American guitarist who primarily plays instrumental rock. A former guitar teacher, Satriani is arguably the most successful instrumental rock guitarist of all-time, being a 15-time Grammy Award nominee and having sold over 10 million albums.

Satriani has also notably played with Mick Jagger, The Greg Kihn Band, and Deep Purple, and currently serves as the lead guitarist of Chickenfoot. He is also the founder of G3, an annual concert tour showing various other rock guitarists.
