Johnny Logan (Frankston (Australia), 13 may 1954) is an Irish singer and songwriter. His actual name is Seán Patrick Michael Sherrard. His father was an Irish tenor, Patrick O'Hagan, who performed three times at the White House.
Johnny Logan won the Eurovision Song Contest twice for Ireland. The first time was that with What's Another Year, composed by Shay Healy, in Netherlands in 1980. Hold Me Now, that Logan himself wrote, won in 1987 in Belgium. He had almost won a third time: in 1984 he obtained the second place as a writer of the song Terminal 3. It was sung by Linda Martin. In 1992 he won as a composer with Why Me, sung by Linda Martin (same).
Johnny Logan is especially popular in Germany, Netherlands and Denmark, where he is known as Mister Eurovision.
In 2006 he was in the preliminary round of the Eurovision song contest. In his home country he refused to sit in the jury, but since he earned his second victory in Belgium he found that he couldn't refuse this country. Here, he was impressed by the singer Kaye Styles and Leuven are number Profile. Brought together Logan and Styles in 2006 the hitDon't Cry out, a r & b version of the song Hold Me Now. He was also a guest on Toppers In Concert 2009.
In 2010, Logan place in the jury of the Dutch heat of the Eurovision song contest, which eventually was won by Sieneke .
