Lotus Plaza is an indie rock band based in Atlanta, Georgia and is the solo project of Deerhunter guitarist, Lockett Pundt. Pundt recorded and released his debut album, The Floodlight Collective, as Lotus Plaza in 2009, followed by Spooky Action at a Distance in 2012 to favorable reviews. Pundt records and produces the material individually, and features a line-up for touring, consisting of bassist T.J. Blake, drummer Frankie Broyles (also of Deerhunter), guitarist Dan Wakefield, and keyboardist Allen Taylor.

Lotus Plaza began as a side project for Lockett Pundt, who joined Deerhunter as a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist in 2005. In 2007, Pundt began recording material that would later serve as content for his debut album. Pundt announced a debut album under the name Lotus Plaza near the end of 2008 titled The Floodlight Collective, which was released on March 23, 2009. The Floodlight Collective garnished generally favorable reviews.

In 2011, Pundt began recording his sophomore album, Spooky Action at a Distance, in Detroit. The album was released on April 2, 2012 to acclaim, and earned a "Best New Music" designation from Pitchfork Media.
