Ludwig van Beethoven was a German Classical composer and pianist who lived during the late Classical Period and the early Romantic Era. His music is best known for the transition from Classical to Romantic. Although his hearing affected his career beginning in his twenties, he still composed music despite being completely deaf. By feeling the vibration of sound emitted by the piano through his feet, he was able to determine the best combination of notes just like any other virtuoso pianist.
