This was the first XTC song to be a hit in the US, and one of their biggest early hits in the UK. The drum pattern on this one is just amazing. As a testiment to Terry Chambers' skill, when XTC would play live, he would do the drum pattern for this song EXACTLY... but FASTER. He was just a machine. It's funny, because it's one of those XTC songs it doesn't seem that folks can really cover. There's one on the Tribute Album (I think by the Rembrandts or someone equally shitty) where they completely fuck up the drum part, and it's just embarrassing. Man, don't even try. - Rev.
