Mickey Hart (born Michael Steven Hartman, September 11, 1943) is an American drummer, record producer, and musicologist best known as one of the two primary drummers for the Grateful Dead alongside Bill Kreutzmann. Following the disbandment of the Dead in 1995, Hart has played with several of his former bandmates in other groups, including The Other Ones, The Dead, and Dead & Company. He is also the frontman of his own solo project, the Mickey Hart Band.
