Mobb Deep is a hip-pop duo consisting of American rappers 'Prodigy' and 'Havoc', active from 1992. The duo debuted In 1993 with the album ' Juvenile Hell ', but in particular the 2nd album ' The Infamous ' was their big breakthrough. Although the large commercial success often failed, the rappers were popular in the ' Underground scene ' of New York. The duo became involved in 1995 in the ' beef ' between the East and the Westcoast of America. Mobb Deep are 50 Cents from 2005 signed to G-Unit Records, and released in 2007 their first album, G-Unit Records-' Blood Money '. In 2006, Prodigy along with The Alchemist motorway, after which the police arrested for weapons found in their car. This was the third time for Prodigy (in the us at the third time one gets in some States a misdemeanor, a felony, an extremely high punishment), and this had to start in early 2008 to a prison sentence of 3.5 years.

Their 3rd album Hell On Earth was also a success, this time with more commercial success (# 6 in the Billboard 200, and thereby became the hip-hop duo pushed forward more in the Eastcoast hip-hop scene, nearThe Notorious b.i.g.Wu-Tang ClanNas and Jay-Z.

In 1999, they released the highly anticipated Murda Muzik album. Because of the 30 tracks that leaked in advance, and postponement of the album time after time, got a lot of attention in the media, Murda Muzik in the Billboard 200 making it debuted on 3 reached the Platinum status and fast. The popular single ' Quiet Storm ' caused attention.

On 2 May 2006, they released the G-Unit Records debut album, called ' Blood Money '. The album sold much better than their last albums, probably due to their old fans that the deal with G-Unit Records as a return, and saw a number of 50 Cent and G-Unit-fans who had their eyes on Mobb Deep focused automatically. The album debuted at 3 in the Billboard 200.

In 2006, Prodigy arrested along with The Alchemist due to motorway. Weapons were found In the car, which was the famous Prodigy third time for illegal gun possession (in us may the third time a crime result in an extremely high penalty). Prodigy was sentenced for a prison sentence of 15 years, but got the chance to reduce the penalty to 3.5 years if he would confess that he had weapons in the car deliberately lying (the rapper claimed at first that he did not know that the weapons in the car layers). The rapper consented, well-known, and was sentenced for a prison sentence of 3.5 years. Prodigy would have to start on January 9, 2008 at the prison, but was admitted to hospital on the same day, where he had to stay 30 days. Prodigy had to be actually on 13 February for 3.5 years saying goodbye to his freedom.
