Band Biography[]

One of the founding members of the Bonzo Dog Band, Neil Innes had much solo success as well (though mostly in the UK). He is perhaps most known from his association with Monty Python, performing How Sweet To Be An Idiot in Monty Python: Live At The Hollywood Bowl and appearing as the minstrel in Monty Python & The Holy Grail. He also played Ron Nasty in the Beatles parody The Rutles, where he wrote all the songs as well. His solo stuff was often of a slightly more serious nature than the Bonzos, but there was always a sense of whimsy. He also has appeared on many programs on the BBC and has written a introductory economics text(!).
