Artist: Thomas Dolby
Album: The Golden Age Of Wireless
Song Notes: This song was written about Thomas Dolby's uncle Stephen, who drowned in a submarine during the war. It's a cool song, and kind of a creepy one, but then again, I've always had a bit of a fear of submarines. I just don't like the way that they're so enclosed in and so far underwater. At least if a boat capsizes, you've got a chance of surviving, but a submarine—if that goes down, like if it's blown up, or goes too deep and the pressure gets to it, you're basically dead. And that's one of those things that really scares me. So I probably wouldn't want to set foot on one. (Or, rather, in one, I guess. Standing on the top of a surfaced sub might not be too bad. -Rev.
