Musician Biography[]
Otis Redding is one of the most influential Soul and R&B singers, and one of the most notable from aside from his immense singing talent, he was one of the few R&B singers who wrote much of his own material. For a long time he was successful in soul circles, but had some crossover success, but sadly, his biggest crossover hit, (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay, was released a month after his death (as he had recorded it about 3 days before his death) in a plane crash that also killed all but one member of his backing band, The Bar-Kays
