Panic! at the Disco is an American pop punk band originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. Formed in 2004, the band was initially a quartet comprised of childhood friends Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith and Brent Wilson. As of 2015, Urie is the sole remaining founding member of the band to still be in the group, and is also currently the only consistent member of the band as well, with touring musicians filling in for live tours when needed.
Panic! at the Disco is considered one of the "Big Three" of the emo / pop punk scene along with Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, being especially popular during the pop punk boom of the late 2000's and early 2010's. However, the band is known to change their style for each album they release, and have thus also experimented with varying forms of rock, pop, and dance.
To date, Panic! at the Disco have released six studio albums, four live albums, and two compilation albums. Their 2005 debut album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, was certified double platinum in 2006 and has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Their most recent release is Pray for the Wicked, which was released on June 22, 2018.
