Randy Edelman (Paterson (New Jersey), 10 June 1947) is an American composer of film music.
He studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music ' in Cincinnati (Ohio), and went to New York where he played piano in the Orchestra on Broadway. He also produced a number of solo albums, and then he went to Los Angeles where he began to compose music for television and movies. Edelman wrote for Dragonheart, xXx, The Last of The Mohicans, The Mask, Anaconda, The Skulls, Passion of Mind, Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights. Also the theme of the popular 1990s television seriesMacGyver, played by Richard Dean Anderson, is by his hand.
