Relative Degree was an American band based in Long Beach, California. The band was formed in 1995 and had wrote 12 songs and rehearsed for a year before performing their only show at The Roxy Theatre on May 17, 1996. After the show, the band stopped practicing and lost focus, leading to its disbandment without releasing any music.

Aftermath[]

In summer 1996, Mark and Brad later worked with their fellow classmate Mike Shinoda to record the first demo tapes for what would become Xero at Mike's house. They formed another band called Xero, which would later be known by many as Linkin Park.
