Scream is an American hardcore punk band from Bailey's Crossroads, Virginia, formed in 1981. Known for their energetic performances and socio-political lyrics, Scream is regarded as a significant influence in the post-hardcore and alternative rock scenes. The band is notable for being one of the early bands of Dave Grohl, who later joined Nirvana and founded Foo Fighters.
