Scrooge (The Muppet Cast song)

Scrooge is a Muppet christmas song performed by a number of Muppet citizens describing about Ebenezer Scrooge at the beginning of The Muppet Christmas Carol.

Movie Music Scene

We see Scrooge at the corner of a building when Rizzo and Gonzo are watching him. Rizzo walks up to Gonzo and asks if it's getting colder around the town who then shivers. We see a closeup view of his shoes and his cane, the camera rotates up to George and a female whatnot singing the phrases of the cold onto the pig with another female whatnot with a cloth. After the female whatnot leaves, Aretha and Boppity attract to the pig causing him to be frightened. Scrooge steps on a puddle where an inkspot and a Porcupine watch him walk by. The whatnots, a pig and Billy Bunny stare at the Scrooge, then turn around, sing and dance and then turn back at the view pointing at it. We move from the singing farm animals to the singing vegetables and Jack. Panning from the overhead view of the citizens and Scrooge walking by, we see three pigeons on the post and two cats in a room open the window. Near the interior of the building, we see Mr. Curly Twiry and Beggar, next we pan to the Fraggle Rock creatures and then to the mouse family which the girl mouse wants cheese. We gradually zoom to the religous singers when the citizens walk by. We pan to the puppets including animals and in the puppet show stage, a whatnot controls the Punch and Judy puppets. Two horses walk when Mr. Bitte is using the Horse-drawn vehicle and the mice on the haystack feel they have no cheese for them. We pan to Gonzo and Rizzo and he summarizes what the Scrouge is. He takes two steps down, the citizens move out of the way so he can get to the Scrooge & Marley building. As he makes it past a pack of Muppets, he learns that being mean is the way of life and they tell he's getting worse. Scrooge turns around staring at them, they start to walk away, then he mentions "Humbug" and he enters the building.
