"Telegraph Road" is a song by English rock band Dire Straits and written by Mark Knopfler. In 1982, it appeared on the album Love over Gold. The song lasts 14 minutes and 18 seconds. Although the song never appeared as single it is well received and it was in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 in the top-100 of the Top 2000.
The song also appeared on the live album Alchemy and on the greatest hits album Money for Nothing. Mark Knopfler plays the song still during his solo performances.

Telegraph Road starts with a quiet and low volume crescendo that takes nearly two minutes, before the song really starts. After the first verse, begins the main theme followed by a second verse. After a guitar solo, a short bridging the pace down to a keyboard solo that is similar to the introduction, followed by a quiet guitar solo. The main theme is played one more time what turns into a fast guitar solo by about five minutes that eventually fades to silence.
