The Combine Harvester, sometimes also listed as The Combine Harvester (Brand New Key) is a parody of the British musical group The Wurzels on the song Brand New Key, by singer Melanie.

The Wurzels retained both the melody as the angle of incidence (romantic rapprochement with the person to whom the song is directly addressed) standing, but rewrote the text and made implementation of a country-instrumental. The Combine Harvester is about a farmer who wants to a peasant woman and wants to make impression with his new combine harvester (combine harvester).

Melanie's text:

Well, I got a brand new pair of roller skates'You got a brand new key'I think that we should get together and try them out you see

was so for example:

Cuz i got a brand new combine harvester'An ill give you the key'Come on now lets get together in perfect harmony

The Combine Harvester 1976 stood in two weeks on the first place in the official UK Singles Chart, the chart of the United Kingdom. It was thirty years later used as musical support by a scene in the British horror-comedy Evil Aliens. It starts in it just on the car radio that character Sam Butler starter when he crawls in a combine harvester. Then he put the volume up and goes with the harvester rampant behind a group ofaliens for their lives to.
