Turn It Off

The album cover for Jamface's Turn It Off

Turn It Off is the fourth and final of the three main albums by alternative rock band Jamface. It was released on October 13, 2013.

Background[]

Turn It Off doesn't have much info on it but the album, and the rest of Jamface's music for that matter, sprung to popularity after people found out the lead singer of the band was the American musician Will Wood (he went by the name William Sunshine at this time). He is known as the lead vocalist and pianist of the band Will Wood and the Tapeworms. Like their other albums, The Krakken and Fruit of the Rapture, this album is also notable for being written, recorded and finished in only 24 hours.

The songs on the album were all re-uploaded on January 22, 2019 to SoundCloud after Will reunited with the band. Only two of the songs from when they were originally uploaded are still on their SoundCloud. Which is where all of their albums reside. The two songs are "Jahumba" and "It's About Hurr". On their originals uploads, it features the lyrics in the description but when they were re-uploaded, all the songs lacked any kind of description. They also featured hashtags, which the 2019 re-uploads also lack.

All of the songs are seemingly really low quality. Mainly because of how they recorded it, remember, they recorded it in 24 hours so, of course, they probably couldn't have recorded it in any other way. In some songs, it's easy to hear Will's vocals but on some others, the sound overpowers he vocals, making it hard to hear what he's saying.

Artwork[]

The art of the album was drawn by Will Wood. He is known for his crazy art like his "Hypnogogia" series. The cover shows a bunch of crazy visuals like a face with a big mouth and a little stick figure with one big eye. In the middle of the art, there is a white box with the name of the album on it with a light switch next to it. The cover also has some little words and phrases on it as well, like "Nababa" and "Kick Me". The cover, like their others, seems low quality. It's unknown on why.
