History[]
2014–2018: Formation, early songs and first album production[]
The founding members of Under the Symphony are guitarist Facundo Nahas and programmer Fernando Flores, both are childhood friends who met in Banfield, Buenos Aires. In 2014, Nahas had the idea of mixing their musical styles, and form an alternative Rock band with Flores's musical bases (Rap musical pieces with samplers and synthesizers) and the new Pop-Rock compositions created by Nahas. The name Under the Symphony came up from the song "Shine for you" written by Facundo Nahas in 2014 and published in 2018.
The first song created by the band was "Like the Person I wanna be", Flores made the musical base in 2012 and Nahas wrote the lyrics and the guitar in March 2014. In July 2018, they released their debut single, "Shine for you", followed by "Like the Person I wanna be" which was released in August 2018.
The band's debut album, Storm in a Volcano was released on December 2018 and contains 11 songs. This album shows the different styles and genres of the band, with songs like Grey Rainbow and Time to Choose, the first one a classic reggae and the second a powerful hard rock. It was produced by Facundo Nahas and the album's credits include Leonel Ditarcio on drums, Agustin Costa Ditarcio on percussion and Fernando Nahas on bass and backing vocals.
20's: Tv and Awrite! EP[]
After an unexpected reception of their first album Under the Symphony performed live shows in Buenos Aires such as The cavern Club and Franz Pub. On march 2020, the band was invited to perform in TV for the first time in "Mete Púa" hosted by the popular argentine guitarist Diego Mizrahi. On March 2021, UTS published their first Extended-Play Awrite EP! with 3 songs. The most popular song was The Cave, that also had an official music video directed by Gabriel Santorufo. All the songs were written and composed by Facundo Nahas and Agustin Costa Ditarcio, Leo Ditarcio and Fernando Nahas repited their role on guitar, drums and bass.
2022-2023: The Ruthless Art of Living
Breaking their previous sound into pieces The Ruthless Art of Living shows the new wave of personality that the band wants to show. From powerful spiritual lyrics to hard-rock slashes that confirms the difference from their previous works. This conceptual album tells the story of a main character who is travelling across his feelings through life. From love to war, part I is cleary the dream land that our character wants to share with us.
