The Wyoming Sessions is the name give to a five-week period where albums exclusively produced by Kanye West released weekly between May and June of 2018.

Background[]

Each of these projects had seven songs each and were recorded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The streak is akin to that of West's "G.O.O.D Music Fridays" of 2010 and 2016, and is most likely the spiritual successor to it. Along with West, Pusha T, Nas and Teyana Taylor would have their own solo projects, as well as West having a joint album with Kid Cudi. West would also have a guest feature on Daytona, Nasir and K.T.S.E.

It would also see the formation of West and Cudi become an official duo, going under the name Kids See Ghosts, with plans to release more projects following their debut album together.

The song "We Got Love" by Teyana Taylor was recorded during these sessions, but not released. It was planned to release on West's scrapped album Yandhi, before finally seeing a release on Taylor's 2020 album, "The Album".

Album line-up[]

Scrapped albums[]

Two albums were planned to be involved in the run of albums, but were ultimately scrapped.

  • Love Everyone: Prior to the creation of Ye, Love Everyone was the album's predecessor, and was slated to be included in the line up. However, following West's controversy regarding statements about slavery, as well as the use of Jan Adam's photo (the surgeon involved with the death of Donda West), the album was scrapped and re-recorded entirely in two weeks.
  • Good Ass Job: Revived as a collaboration album between West and Chance the Rapper, this album was also meant to be included on the line-up. However, lack of attention resulted in the album never being realized, and thus was scrapped.
