Song Notes: The first of two Star Wars related song-parodies, this one is the one I like best, though "The Saga Begins" is very good too. This is a parody of The Kinks "Lola". Apparently there was a lot of trouble with getting this song out—if I recall, he'd asked Ray Davies about it and he was sort of hesitant but gave the go-ahead, and then he was trying to contact George Lucas about it, and after being told a billion times no, he met up with him and asked why he objected so strongly, and Lucas was all "Wait, what?" and then personally gave "Weird Al" Yankovic the go-ahead. (A similar thing happened with Mad Magazine—they'd done a cover featuring Alfred E. Neuman as Yoda, and received a nastygram from Lucas' lawyers... to which they sent back a note saying "Gee, your boss didn't seem to mind", attaching a copy of a letter Lucas had sent them raving about how he enjoyed the cover.) - Rev.
