Zedned (stylized in capitals), is the self-titled studio album from musical duo Zedned, released on April 7, 2023 via Superkeith Records. The album consists of themes of self-hatred, self-harm and heartbreak. The album had three lead singles backing up the project, the double single "Kms / Worth It" released March 24, 2023 and also "Forget Me" released April 3, 2023.
Background[]
Jake decided to make the album self-titled release due to the topics talked about on the album as it goes through the journey of pain Jake is experiencing, plus it is released on the same Friday in April that the Zedned released their debut single Sex/Monopoly in 2022.
Singles[]
March 24, 2023, the double single "Kms / Worth it" was released as the lead singles for the album. It was originally just meant to be "Worth It" as the lead single but Jake decided releasing a double single would get the audience’s attention to prove that this project is serious and shows his true pain and emotions.
April 3, 2023, the so called third lead single "Forget Me" was released under Superkeith Records. The song consits of Jake trying to make his ex and everyone to forget him as he thinks he isn’t worthy of anything so he threatens to end his life. Jake stated in an interview “Forget Me is one of the messiest songs we have made but still seems perfect in my eyes. I just honestly think i should kill myself as I’m constantly getting hurt”.
Critical reception[]
Zedned, was met with generally poor reviews, naming the album as a 'self loathing disaster' and 'repetitive threats to some failed relationship'.
